Have you ever tried to reserve a video game? Have you ever booked a plane ticket or concert ticket? Well Illthreads™ uses a similar method called pre-orders, which is when you reserve your merchandise now to be received at a later date.
How this all works is simple!
- Illthreads™ Store opens: You pre-order what you like.
- Accept pre-orders for a short period of time: For about 1 week, I leave the store open to receive as many pre-orders as I can.
- Illthreads™ Store closes: Once the store is closed, I will no longer be accepting any pre-orders until further notice.
- Tally a list of who pre-ordered: No matter how early or late you ordered, I will have the clothes made/printed all together.
- Contact screen printer: I’ll be giving them the exact number of orders I received.
- Wait for clothes to be printed: This is the 1st thing that makes the process lengthy. It could take them 3 weeks, maybe even a month or 2 to finish. When they’ll finish making the clothes all depends on how many orders I received. Please keep in mind that I’m not the only customer they work with.
- Wait for clothes to be delivered to Illthreads™: Once they finish printing them, they’ll be shipping the printed clothes to me. The screen printer is based in a different state than Illthreads™, so it’ll take a few days to make it here. I normally make updates on my Tumblr and on Facebook when I start receiving the clothes.
- Inspect and sort the clothes: This is the 2nd thing that makes the process lengthy. When the boxes of clothes are delivered to me, I normally double check if they gave me the right amount of clothes and inspect for defects. Usually if they’ve made any mistakes, I contact them ASAP to have them reprint some of my clothes.
- Pack orders individually: This is the 3rd thing that makes the process lengthy. I’ll be packing everyone’s orders myself and mailing them out ASAP. Please keep in mind that Illthreads™ is owned and ran by one person, so please be patient and bear with me.
- Wait for package to be delivered: I’ll be using USPS to mail packages. It should take about 3-5 days to be delivered. For those who ordered internationally, it takes about 2-3 weeks due to transit time and inspection/customs. If your package weighs more than 13 ounces, it should come with tracking.
- Receive package: This is pretty self explanatory!
Once your order has been packed and mailed, you should be receiving an email from PayPal notifying you that your order has been mailed.
